Our Non Woven Needle Punched Geotextile is a commercial grade fabric that can be used for filtration, stabilization, separation, and drainage applications. This fabric has a felt like texture, and allows high amounts of water to flow through it while still providing high dimensional stability. This fabric will not rot or mildew, is non-biodegradable, and is resistant to insect and rodent damage.

The non woven needle punched geotextile is available in thicknesses ranging from 3 ounces per square yard to 16 ounces per square yard. It is also available in a number of roll size options to better help meet your job's needs.

When choosing between the different weighted fabrics (example 2oz vs 3oz) within a series it is important to first identify whether fabric strength or water flow rate is the most important factor in your installation. Lighter fabrics will flow more water but will be more prone to tearing and deteriorate faster over time. Heavier fabrics will last longer but will not pass water quite as quickly.



Yes, however the 3 - 4.5 oz fabrics are the most ideal for use in a french drain over the thicker fabrics.
