Medium Duty Woven Fabric

Geotex 315ST is a Woven Fabric

Woven Geotextile Fabric -  Geotex® 315ST

Woven geotextiles have been thoroughly tested and have been shown to save on cost for a number of operations including stabilization of construction entrances, staging areas, bridging over soft soil, the separation of different soils, reinforced soil structures and controlling shoreline erosion. We also have driveway underlayment if your project is smaller residential driveway available in shorter length rolls.

There are three structures of woven geotextiles you should know about:

Slit Film Woven Geotextiles

This product is created by weaving flat strands of polypropylene that have been created by slitting plastic sheets. This particular geotextile helps in construction over soft or weak soil by providing separation and stabilization. This is the perfect product for park-on, park-off operations.  Although slit-film geotextiles are permeable, the degree of permeability is quite limited. As this fabric can clog, it is not recommended for filtration functions including erosion control, or underdrains.

Tip: We offer Landlok 450 a Turf Reinforcement Mat made of a dense, interlocking, and multi-lobed polypropylene fibers. This mat has no biodegradable components. It is also stabilized against chemical and ultraviolet degradation.

Monofilament Woven Geotextiles

This product is created by weaving extruded, round strands of polypropylene. Woven monofilament geotextiles have a unique characteristic known as percent open area and have performed very well when a gradient ratio test has been performed.  This is a preferred product for applications where strength and filtration are a significant concern including shoreline riprap and bulkhead applications.

Combination Woven Geotextiles

Woven combination geotextiles are made by weaving round monofilament yarns in one direction and flat tape or fibrillated yarns in the other direction. This product offers an excellent combination of strength and hydraulics.

Note if your project has an erosion issue nearby adding a erosion sock for slope interruption or perimeter control can be helpful.
