SweepEx Forklift Brooms: Choosing the Right Model

SweepEx forklift broom clearing a jobsite
A SweepEx Pro Series broom clearing debris on a job site.

A SweepEx broom turns the forklift or skid steer you already own into a sweeper — multi-row polypropylene brushes that clear warehouses, docks, lots, and job-site yards with no moving parts to maintain. The trick is matching the line and the width to where you sweep and what you're sweeping.

SweepEx (by TrynEx) comes in three lines that step up from light indoor sweeping to heavy outdoor work. They all share the same simple idea — rows of tough poly bristles, reversible to extend their life, with nothing mechanical to break. As a rule, more brush rows mean more aggressive pickup and tougher debris handling.

The Three SweepEx Lines

Light–Medium · Indoor

ValuSweep (VSB)

  • 5 brush rows
  • 48″ & 60″ widths
  • Aircraft-grade aluminum
  • Quick-Tite locking mount
Warehouse, dock, shop floor
Medium–Heavy · In/Outdoor

Pro Series (SPB)

  • 8 brush rows
  • 60″ & 72″ widths
  • Built-in fork pockets
  • Skid-steer compatible
General-purpose, mixed debris
Heavy Duty · Outdoor

Mega Series (SMB)

  • 11 brush rows
  • 60″, 72″ & 96″ widths
  • Requires a fork hitch
  • Skid-steer compatible
Job sites, yards, heavy debris

How to Choose: Environment, Debris, and Width

Start with where you're sweeping. For clean, light indoor work — warehouse aisles, loading docks, shop floors — ValuSweep is the economical fit. For general-purpose sweeping that moves between inside and out and handles medium debris like gravel or cardboard, step up to the Pro Series. For outdoor job sites, construction yards, and heavy debris like dirt, rock, or leaves, the Mega Series and its 11 brush rows are built for it.

Mounting: Fork Pockets, Quick-Tite & Hitches

Skid steer hitch adapter for a SweepEx broom
Pro and Mega Series run on a forklift or a skid steer with the right mount.

How the broom attaches differs by line. ValuSweep uses a Quick-Tite locking system; the Pro Series has built-in fork pockets (5″W × 8″D) that slide straight onto standard forks; and the Mega Series connects through a separate fork hitch attachment (sold separately).

Both the Pro and Mega Series are skid-steer compatible with an optional mount, so you're not locked to a forklift. Confirm your fork pocket size and machine type before ordering so the broom drops right on.

Built to Last: No Moving Parts, Reversible Brushes

SweepEx replacement brush section
Brush sections reverse and rotate to extend bristle life.

Every SweepEx broom is a push broom at heart — rows of polypropylene bristles and no moving parts, so there's nothing to grease, belt, or repair. The brush sections are reversible: rotate and flip them periodically and you'll stretch bristle life well past a fixed broom, keeping replacement costs low.

When bristles finally wear, you swap individual sections rather than the whole unit — slide out an end plate and the sections come right out. All three lines carry a 12-month limited warranty on products and parts.

Applications

Where SweepEx Brooms Earn Their Keep

SweepEx brooms handle both large and small materials — dirt, gravel, sand, grain, leaves, snow, mud, scraps, steel shavings, wood chips, banding, and even standing water. A few of the places they shine:

Docks & Warehouses

Keep loading docks clear of debris, trash, and packing materials, and pull dust and dirt off warehouse floors quickly.

Construction Sites

Clear dirt and debris across the site; pair with a magnet attachment to lift left-behind nails, staples, and metal.

Parking Lots & Yards

Sweep lots, supply yards, and staging areas — and push snow and standing water so surfaces stay safe and accessible.

Processing & Recycling

Move grain spillage, food-processing scraps, and separated materials like glass, plastic, and metal out of the way with ease.

All Models & Sizes

ValuSweep — Indoor / Light Duty

  • VSB-04848″, 5 rows · narrow aisles, shop floors
  • VSB-06060″, 5 rows · larger floors, docks, receiving

Pro Series — Indoor & Outdoor

  • SPB-60060″, 8 rows · general purpose, distribution centers
  • SPB-72072″, 8 rows · large floors, outdoor lots and yards

Mega Series — Outdoor / Heavy Duty

  • SMB-60060″, 11 rows · job sites, yards, parking lots
  • SMB-72072″, 11 rows · large areas, heavy debris, municipal
  • SMB-96096″, 11 rows · maximum coverage, staging yards
Sizing Tip · Wider Isn't Always Better

Match broom width to your space, not just the biggest number. A 96″ broom is overkill — and hard to maneuver — in a 10′ aisle. For most warehouses, 60″–72″ hits the sweet spot between coverage and control; drop to 48″ for tight aisles or a smaller forklift, and save the 96″ for wide-open lots and yards.

Quick Selection Checklist

1Indoor or outdoor? Indoor light → ValuSweep; mixed → Pro; outdoor/heavy → Mega.
2What debris? Fine or light needs fewer rows; gravel, dirt, rock, or leaves want 8–11 rows.
3Forklift or skid steer? Pro and Mega take an optional skid-steer mount; Mega also needs a fork hitch.
4Match width to your space — 60″–72″ suits most, 48″ for narrow aisles, 96″ for max coverage.
5Plan to rotate and reverse the brush sections to extend bristle life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do SweepEx brooms ship from?

All of our SweepEx brooms ship from Michigan.

What is the shipping cost?

Shipping is always free — every SweepEx broom and part ships free on all orders.

What country are these made in?

SweepEx brooms are American-made products.

Do I need a skid steer, or will a forklift work?

Either. ValuSweep mounts to a forklift with its Quick-Tite system. The Pro and Mega Series attach to standard forklift forks and are also skid-steer compatible with an optional mount — the Mega Series additionally requires a fork hitch attachment.

What kind of maintenance do they need?

Very little — there are no moving parts. The only routine maintenance is rotating and reversing the reversible brush sections to extend bristle life. When bristles wear out, you replace individual sections rather than the whole broom.
