What Is a Forklift Broom?

A forklift broom is a push-broom attachment that slides onto your forks — or onto a skid-steer mount — and sweeps as you drive. There's no power hookup and no moving parts; the angled brush rows do the work as the machine pushes forward. The SMB-600 carries eleven rows of bristles that windrow dirt, gravel, leaves, and debris to one side in a single pass, clearing a 60-inch path at a time.

How It Works

The broom mounts to the front of your equipment and sweeps by motion alone. Because there are no motors, belts, or hydraulics, there's nothing to maintain beyond the bristles themselves — and no flying debris kicked up by a spinning brush. The industrial-strength steel mainframe takes the abuse of daily commercial use.

When the leading bristles eventually wear down, you don't replace the whole broom: the eleven brush sections are replaceable, and rotating and reversing them within the housing evens out wear and stretches their service life.
